The improvements are part of the VS Code extension for Python, which is currently the most popular programming language extension on Microsoft's Visual Studio Marketplace, with 16.2 million installs.

米Microsoftは、表計算ソフトウェア「Microsoft Excel」にPython実行環境を統合した「Python in Excel」の提供を9月16日（現地時間）に開始した。Microsoftは2023年8月にPython in Excelをプレビューとして公開し、検証を続けてきたが、ようやく正式な機能として提供することになった。

また、Anaconda Assistantからヘルプを得つつPythonの学習が可能になるとともに、Anaconda Codeを利用すれば記述したPythonコードをMicrosoft Excel内で実行できるようになり、ワークブック内のPython環境を柔軟に制御して、必要に応じてパッケージの追加や削除が可能になった。
