Slighty edited pen plotter version of grbl, an open source, embedded, high performance g-code-parser and CNC milling controller written in optimized C that will run on a straight Arduino - sudeshnb ...
This setup processes GRBL G-code files via a microSD card module and commands the stepper motors through a CNC shield coupled with A4988 stepper drivers. Additionally, there's a straightforward ...
There’s extensive documentation, GRBL settings, and more pictures in their GitHub repo, too – in case you have a similar CNC and would like to learn about upgrading its controller board!
GRBL, of course, runs on the Arduino, so the whole machine runs fine with normal G-code. This post will be especially interesting if you want to build a plotter or something similar.
An interesting Arduino project has been published to the Instructables website showing how an Arduino CNC shield and controller has been used to create an awesome 3 axis Arduino CNC plotter.
“The pen plotter in question is a DIY machine that Oaks constructed using linear rails, stepper motors, and an Arduino Uno board with a CNC Shield that runs Grbl firmware. The computer connected ...
