AACoRN will replace a 10-year-old, DOS-based application that uses a text-based interface to deliver airline travel information to American Airlines reservation agents.

Until now, AAA’s airline travel service was built on top of the 20-year-old Galileo system that’s still in use by most of the travel industry.

ITA Software is using the Python language for its airline reservation system, proving that sometimes snakes and planes do mix.
