Google this week began offering an alpha version of Google APIs Client Library for JavaScript, which provides access to HTTP-based APIs on the Web, as well as to many of Google’s public APIs.

Instead of trying to set up everything manually in a cron job, he created a short and easy-to-modify JavaScript script to keep track of events on a Google Calendar.

In the latest teardown for the Google Calendar app, version 5.5.9, it appears as though the app is to get snoozing reminders once again.

This new feature, found in Google Calendar's settings, aims to allow users to prevent third-party apps from viewing their Google Calendar events, even if those apps have general calendar access.
