GM has issued a recall for certain units of the 2022 and 2023 Chevy LCF 3500/4500 models due to improper calibration of the ABS control module.

When installed on a vehicle, the hydraulic control unit (HCU) may fail, which can cause the anti-lock brake (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and traction control systems to fail.

The module that controls the anti-lock brakes may fail, which could cause a loss of ABS and traction control, possibly leading to a crash.

The ABS control module software may prevent the electronic stability control (ESC) malfunction indicator light from illuminating during certain conditions.
