Google has launched a digital library of user-created 3D objects that can be used to populate virtual- and augmented-reality worlds.

Today Sketchfab added over 1600 public domain 3D models from the Smithsonian Institution and others.

What to do? Google might have an answer: it just introduced Poly, a library of free 3D objects for augmented and virtual reality apps.
