SolarWinds Tuesday announced an updated product that the company says will enable IT departments to use Cisco IP SLA to better manage WAN connections, router performance statistics and VoIP metrics.

According to SolarWinds, the tool allows IP SLA on a Cisco router or switch, configures path-specific details and displays the performance data in a dashboard.

Vendor brings veteran free tool up to speed on today's network management needs. SolarWinds this week announced it had enhanced an old favorite in its vault of freeware products: TFTP Server.
