WebGL API offers hardware-accelerated graphics without the need for additional software Google has moved to a beta phase with its WebGL 3D graphics API for JavaScript, the company said on Thursday.

WebGPU is a new API written in JavaScript that aims to provide "modern 3D graphics and computation capabilities" to web browsers.

WebGL or Web Graphics Library is nothing but a JavaScript API which helps it in rendering interactive 2D and 3D graphics on any supporting web browser without any third party plugins being used.
