In the latest beta version of Notepad (11.2504.46.0), it is also possible to create new texts from a text prompt. You can then edit the document until you are satisfied.
Microsoft has added bold, italics, lists, hyperlinks, and even Markdown to the Windows Notepad app, making it look more and more like the now-defunct WordPad.
You will be able to ask Copilot in Windows to help explain text directly from within Notepad. This feature is currently rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels on Windows 11.
