Add 'submit Git commit' to the growing list of developer tasks in Visual Studio 2022 that are now being handled by AI.

Announced February 13, Visual Studio 17.9 can be downloaded from the Visual Studio website. The update features AI-generated Git commit messages using GitHub Copilot.

Visual Studio Tools for Git is available only with Visual Studio 2012 Update 2 CTP. The CTP, as I wrote earlier this week, is currently on its fourth iteration.
