Part of the reason for the Green Bay Packers to possibly consider a trade involving cornerback Jaire Alexander would be the off-field stuff. However, it seems like both parties are in an excellent place after all.

According to ESPN’s NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the Packers and Jaire Alexander are in talks to negotiate a revised deal to keep him with the team. "The Packers passing on cornerback for the first six rounds seems to signify that Jaire Alexander is staying with the team, barring a unique trade offer or a contractual stalemate," Fowler said.

The Packers currently have Keisean Nixon, Nate Hobbs and Carrington Valentine as the team's top three corners, with Javon Bullard capable of playing in the slot and Kalen King and Kamal Hadden returning after spending their rookie seasons on the practice squad.
