Donald Trump has ordered the Department of Homeland Security to add at least 20,000 officers to enforce his deportation policies. The directive was issued on Friday and forms part of the administration's plan to incentive undocumented immigrants to self-deport.

A day after the mayor of New Jersey’s largest city was arrested at an immigration detention center in the city, a spokeswoman suggested President Donald Trump‘s administration may also arrest Democratic members of Congress.

A DHS spokesperson told CNN the lawmakers could be arrested, saying the department has “body camera footage of some of these members of Congress assaulting our ICE enforcement officers, including body slamming a female ICE officer.
